Monsters, Knights, and Evil Warlords, oh my!!!!

Imagine you've lost someone you loved dearly... in everything you do are memories from the man you called father... and you only solstice is a ride through the woods. Already grieving, something takes a hold of you and drops you in a world of monsters, knights, and ruthless leaders. Such is the case in The Carnelian Legacy..

I found this book to be quite good. Despite the age old love triangle, Marisa was a pretty cool character. Her expression of loss seemed quite real and you learned to care about her decisions. The monsters showed great creativity and I am happy they weren't your typical medieval lineup.

If you are a big romance reader, this is lacking much, but for those like me, it was just perfect. Enough to give you the flutters, but not so much that you feel like that's all the book has to offer. I'm definitively ready to read the next one and hope she gives some of the minor characters a little more page time.
